New Years Eve Movies for Kids

Sharing is caring!

Oh my word!  It is tough to find New Year’s Eve Movies for Kids!

I searched on Netflix and Amazon and was finally able to compile this list.  So, this year, when you are settling in for a New Year’s Eve Party with your friends, you can stock up on these New Year’s movies and let the kids have their own party in another area of the house.

With a few snack trays and mocktails for kids they will feel like Mom and Dad – hosting their very own New Year’s Eve Party!

What are fun things to do with kids on New Years Eve?

Celebrating the New Year can be an exciting opportunity to create special family memories, especially with young kids.

Involvement of children in the festivities of New Year Eve helps promote a sense of togetherness, and also offers a great chance for teaching them how to enjoy holiday traditions.

One fun activity to try is hosting a movie night, complete with décor, snacks, and more.

Another option is organizing an indoor dance party, with plenty of room for impromptu choreography and lots of seasonal music.

As nighttime approaches it may be possible to go outside and look up at the sky while watching the fireworks – although if that isn’t practical then streaming some on devices can still offer a fun experience before kicking off 2023 in style.

What are fun ways to countdown to the New Year with kids?

Counting down to the New Year with kids is an entertaining and meaningful experience for families. An effective way to keep kids excited about New Year’s Eve is creating a family countdown tradition together.

This can include games that build anticipation and make time passing more fun such as guessing jar activities where participants write down their guesses of how many items are in a jar – such as jingle bells, buttons, or gumballs – or setting a certain number of goals children want to accomplish before the clock strikes midnight.

Beyond these activities, a memorable way to celebrate with children is to create scrapbooks throughout the year that detail all of the memorable events leading up to New Year’s Eve.

When it is time to close out one year and start another, they can reflect back on all of the highlights from 2022, giving them something special to look forward to in 2023.

What are great movie snack ideas for family movie night?

Family movie night can be an enjoyable experience and part of making sure it is truly successful is choosing the right snacks. Fortunately, there are numerous options ideal for such an occasion.

Popcorn, of course, is a perennial favorite and is available in both traditional buttery varieties and more unique flavors.

Similarly, other crunchy snacks, such as chips, pretzels, and crackers with dips, or gourmet popcorn mixes, make excellent accompaniments.

Alternatively, consider healthier options, such as raw vegetables with dip or flavored yogurt.

Ultimately, the best movie snack choice will depend on everyone’s individual tastes, but with some careful consideration and planning, a truly memorable family movie night can be had.
