Why are my candied pecans not crunchy?
Candied pecans are a beloved treat for many, but sometimes, they may not turn out as crunchy as desired. The reason for this could be due to several factors.
First, it is important to ensure that the pecans are completely cooled before adding the sugar mixture to prevent the sugar from melting and creating a soggy texture.
Another possibility is not cooking the sugar mixture long enough, resulting in a sticky coating instead of a crispy one.
Lastly, using too much liquid or not separating the pecans enough on the baking sheet can cause them to steam and lose their crunchiness.
By implementing these tips, achieving that sought-after satisfying crunch in every bite of candied pecans is possible.

How do I store candied pecans?
To store candied pecans using an airtight container, such as a jar with a tight-fitting lid or a resealable bag.
This will help protect the pecans from exposure to moisture and air, which can cause them to go stale or lose their flavor. It is also important to store the container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
These simple steps will ensure your candied pecans remain fresh and delicious for an extended period.
